Artists On The Bluff

Artists have always been attracted to the Village of Lake Bluff, beginning in 1875 when it was a summer resort. Today the tradition continues with Artists on the Bluff, a charitable organization dedicated to promoting the arts and encouraging artists.

Artists on the Bluff is a 501c (3) nonprofit organization of local artists dedicated to promoting the arts and encouraging artists. We educate and contribute to charitable causes through the arts, including the Equestrian Connection.

Members of Artists on the Bluff also teach art at the Lake Bluff Park District. The group has staged a fundraising show for the Lake Bluff Library, and artists in the group have also created murals and backdrops for local school drama and musical productions.

The murals in Lake Bluff’s historic landmark Train Station were also created by two of our members, Skip Wiese and Sandra Bacon, both nationally recognized professional muralists.

Volunteer OpportunitiesWe are currently looking for a Treasurer, a Secretary and Gallery Committee members. Come join us!

Please contact AOTB President Sandie Bacon at artistsonthebluff@gmail.com for more information.

Members host a monthly show at the 1,000-square-foot permanent gallery located inside The Gallery at 202 E. Wisconsin Ave., Lake Forest, IL 60045. Typically, on second Friday, most artists show up for the opening reception. Everyone is invited to meet and chat with the artist.
